10 days Crash Course on “Structural Engineering Laboratory Practice” by RK University

Department of Civil Engineering, RK University organised 10 days Crash Course on ‘Structural Engineering Laboratory Practice’ (SELP) from 9th May to 19th May for the M. Sc in Structural Engineering Students from Pokhara University, Nepal.


The Crash Course included sessions under two phases, Structural software Lab and Concrete Lab conducted simultaneously by the trainers of Civil Department, RK University. A total of 12 participants of M. Sc in Structural Engineering Students from Pokhara University, Nepal were present. The sessions were filled with discussions on real time roles of structural engineers, creating a bridge between theoretical and practical applications, challenges in the field of structural engineering, hands on practical on structural design using software and much more. The complete course was dealt online and the assessment of the participants were considered as their regular course credit by Pokhara University.


Dr. T.R.Desai, Vice Chancellor inaugurated, welcomed and wished all the participants. Dr. Nilesh Kalani, Director of School of Engineering introduced RK University and wished all the participants and congratulated Civil Department. Mrs. Trupti Parmar, HOD of Civil Department thanked the whole team, without which this Crash Course wouldn’t have been a Possible.


On the completion of the crash course, all the participants and the trainers were encouraged with the participation certificates by Mr. Shivlal Ramani, Registrar, Dr. T.R. Desai, Vice Chancellor and Dr. Ajit Shukla, Dean School of Engineering.
